DevOps Team Leader


Role:


  • Overseeing all critical services, participating in on-call rotations, resolving issues as they occur, and making necessary adjustments to code, infrastructure, or configurations.
  • Ensuring prompt resolution of critical production issues, recommending preventive measures, prioritizing them, and effectively communicating these to stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the training, onboarding, and integration of new team members, including assigning mentors to support their development.
  • Co-designing new services with a focus on fault tolerance, self-healing mechanisms, and scalable architecture.
  • Assessing and benchmarking new solutions, as well as creating capacity and growth plans.
  • Co-developing deployment and configuration strategies for new services, including resource provisioning and go-live processes.
  • Managing services whether developed internally or sourced from external vendors.
  • Continuously enhancing internal services to simplify packaging, configuration, and deployment.
  • Supporting the organization in ongoing software delivery transformations aimed at improving product quality, development efficiency, and system observability.
  • Introducing and refining tools and processes to enhance the software build, release, and deployment pipeline.


Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role such as Tech Lead or DevOps Manager.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills required to collaborate with a global team and build strong relationships with peers.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.
  • Strong understanding of SRE, Agile, and DevOps principles and their application to software engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Concourse, Jenkins, and CircleCI.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Linux environment.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and other scripting languages such as Python.
  • Understanding of basic network protocols and services.
