Role Summary:

We seek an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead our data initiatives in Bangkok. This role shapes our technological roadmap and enhances our core product features. You'll have significant autonomy to define and execute data science strategies, empowering you to drive measurable impact across our product portfolio and demonstrating our trust in your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the data science roadmap, aligning with business objectives
• Enhance core product features, focusing on:
• Multi-language NLP for document processing and parsing
• Advanced information retrieval and recommendation systems
• Data enrichment leveraging social media analytics and external APIs
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from exploratory data analysis to production deployment
• Design and implement innovative solutions using state-of-the-art machine-learning techniques
• Establish a framework for continuous innovation in data science methodologies
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop scalable, high-performance machine learning systems

Technical Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Expertise with data manipulation and analysis libraries (NumPy, Pandas)
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Strong background in statistical modelling, including time series analysis and Bayesian methods
• Expertise in SQL for complex data manipulation and analysis
• Proficiency in both supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, including deep learning architectures
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and distributed computing
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker)
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in version control systems, preferably Git
• Strong data visualisation skills using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or D3.js
• Experience with A/B testing and experimental design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in applied data science roles
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems into data science solutions
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Experience working in agile development environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools
• Publications in peer-reviewed data science journals or conferences
• Experience mentoring junior data scientists
