Head of Engineering

Our client is digital assets start up, with a strong presence within the Southeast Asia region, who work to develop and build institutional-grade portfolios. They are backed by reputable related companies and have a strong presence in their field.

They are looking for a Head of Engineering to join them in Singapore to lead the team to design analytics systems with large-scale databases and distributed computing technologies. Additionally, they will review and propose scalable technology solutions for current infrastructure designs and communicate technical structures effectively to the engineering team. They will plan and manage technical project execution, ensuring timely delivery, while also facilitating communication with product managers to align technical execution with product requirements. Furthermore, they will conceptualize quality technical requirement documents, define tech resource needs, and drive innovation within the engineering team.

Requirements of the Head of Engineering

• Extensive experience: Over 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and architecture, with a focus on cloud-based distributed database solutions and streaming processes.
• Expertise in computer science fundamentals: Strong knowledge in algorithms, data structures, operating systems, databases, distributed systems, and basic cryptography.
• Proficiency in programming: Skilled in Golang, as well as SQL and no-SQL databases.
• Infrastructure development: Demonstrated ability to develop infrastructure for large-scale database architectures at reputable data firms.

This is a role that would ideally be based in Singapore, relocation would be required.
