An executive recruiter is looking for a Chief Technology Officer.

Location: San Diego, CA Preferred or US Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and scaling of consumer web/mobile applications.
Make strategic technical decisions and manage the full technology stack.
Work hands-on in coding and infrastructure management in the early stages.
Manage a talented technical team.
Recruit an exceptionally talented technical team as the company’s needs grow.
Report to the CEO and collaborate closely with the CMO and Product Designer to take a world-class product to market.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Extensive experience in building, deploying, and scaling consumer web and mobile applications.
Passionate about Generative AI with hands on experience leveraging large language models.
Significant experience building machine learning, search or recommender systems.
Obsessed with building incredible user experiences.
Entrepreneurial and driven to build a world-class consumer product company.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Unwavering determination to succeed.
Previous experience in a start-up environment is a plus.

Skills

TypeScript.
Python.
Large Language Models. Experience prompt engineering. Nice-to-have: fine-tuning models, utilizing RAG and/or building agents is a plus.
Machine learning/Search/Recommender Systems.
Databases: SQL and Vector search.
