About El Cami
“El Camí de la Solidaritat" is a non-profit, non-governmental organization created in 2013 in Spain.
We are a multidisciplinary and intersectional organization specialized in fundraising, communication and development, social impact, and marketing. Our ultimate goal is to reduce poverty and address climate change by increasing and maximizing the impact of other NGOs. Our methodology is based on accompanying other entities in order to achieve an established objective by creating work synergies, thus sharing experiences and values and multiplying the positive effects of cooperation. We want to have a social impact on the development of the project and on the entity with which we collaborate by providing our available services. Our main objective is to unite and develop the most supportive part of people with the knowledge, diversity and experiences that each individual has in order to promote a network that fights together towards a better society.

Attention: this is a 100% remote volunteer position; we do not request or ask relocation to any of our members. Interested candidates will be expected to be available for about 5 hours per week, within the time zones of GMT to GMT +4.
About the role
The People & Culture Generalist will play a key role in attracting top talent and fostering a positive work environment that promotes engagement and retention. This role requires a proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for talent, and a passion for creating a vibrant workplace culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
· Job Postings: Develop, post, and manage job advertisements on various platforms to attract a diverse pool of
candidates.
· Screening and Interviews: Conduct initial resume screenings, and coordinate virtual interviews with hiring
managers.
· Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication and feedback
throughout the hiring process.
· Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective sourcing
strategies.
· Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting
orientation sessions, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a smooth transition.
2. Employee Engagement and Retention
· Engagement Programs: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including wellness programs,
team-building activities, and recognition programs.
· Surveys and Feedback: Conduct employee surveys to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze results and recommend actionable strategies to enhance employee engagement.
· Culture Building: Promote a positive organizational culture by organizing events, workshops, and training sessions
that align with company values and foster collaboration and inclusivity.
· Communication: Serve as a liaison between management and employees to ensure effective communication and
address employee concerns and feedback.
3. Training and Development
· Training Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on various topics, including HR policies, diversity
and inclusion, and leadership development.
· Career Development: Support the development of career paths and growth opportunities for employees, fostering
an environment of continuous learning and development.
4. HR Administration and Compliance
· HR Policies: Assist in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor
laws and regulations.
· Records Management: Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, performance reviews,
and training documentation.
· HR Metrics: Track and report on HR metrics such as turnover rates, engagement levels, and recruitment
performance to inform strategic decision-making.
· Employee Relations: Support employee relations efforts by handling conflict resolution, mediating disputes, and
conducting investigations when necessary.
Skills and Competencies
· Recruitment Expertise: Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices, including sourcing,
interviewing, and candidate assessment.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all
levels of the organization.
· Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and inclusive
approach.
· Organizational Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and provide insights to drive HR strategies and improve organizational
outcomes.
· Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS systems and recruitment tools (e.g., Applicant Tracking Systems) and
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Other Qualifying Criteria
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Certification: Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
· Experience in Employee Engagement: 2-4 years of proven track record in developing and implementing employee
engagement strategies and programs.
· Industry Experience: Volunteer experience in an NGO is an advantage.
