Cohere Commerce is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make revolutions in retail industry, and leverage untapped qualitative retail data for brand growth. We are looking for a full-stack developer who can lead our software product development, serving as a key member of our early founding team. This individual will play a crucial role in driving user acquisitions and .

Cohere Commerce (Techstars ‘23) is Trustpilot for the retail industry. We are building the new industry standard for B2B commerce connecting brands and retailers in an efficient, data-driven way. In only 9 months since our launch, we’ve onboarded 900 B2B customers, and built partnerships with national distribution channels.

This is a full-time role that can be held remotely.

Responsibilities

• Product Development
• Design, develop, and implement frontend using a modern framework. And integrate with Supabase backend for seamless data flow.
• Implement robust user authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Work with design and business team. Implement product updates and new features following business and product roadmap.
• Ensure that product designs are scalable, maintainable, and meet user needs.
• Thoroughly test all features to ensure they function as expected (in collaboration with a QA specialist).
• Technical Oversight
• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
• Ensure all engineering projects adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Review and approve technical designs, specifications, and documentation.
• Project Management:
• Develop product roadmap, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with multi-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor and track project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Team Collaboration:
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to senior and junior engineers effectively.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  

Qualifications

Required

• Proficiency in React/Next.js with TypeScript/Javascript, and Supabase.
• Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
• Strong understanding of frontend and backend integration, and CMS
• Experience in product development and feature implementation.
• In-depth understanding of engineering principles and practices. And demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work well within engineering organization and cross functions.
• Love collaborating via code reviews and architecture discussions, and are motivated to improve their teammates' productivity
• Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
• Show motivation for personal growth and learning new technologies to support the team's needs
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  
  

Bonus

• Experience in creating SEO-optimized and scalable web applications is a huge plus.
• Experience working on an Infrastructure or Platform team supporting a small to medium engineering organization. Prior experience in venture-backed startups is a plus.
• Solid understanding of client networking, performance, caching, client storage solutions, and asynchronous programming
• Experience (beyond configuration) working with bundlers, testing frameworks, editor integrations, frontend build/CI systems, observability tooling, or developer environments.
