We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing BI & Data Infrastructure team.

We're looking for a skilled Data Engineer to become a key member of our expanding BI & Data Infrastructure team and contribute significantly to building strong and flawless data models. Our data isn't just a foundation; it's the launchpad that drives us toward groundbreaking insights!

Currently, our data infrastructure operates on Google Cloud Platform, processing data in both streaming and batch modes. Excitingly, we're transitioning to Azure Databricks, unlocking new opportunities for innovation and growth.

What will you be doing?

  • Build and Maintain a Trusted Data Warehouse: Create and maintain an efficient and trustworthy data warehouse that serves as the backbone of our data-driven operations.
  • Design and Implement Scalable Data Pipelines: Utilize dbt and BigQuery on the existing infrastructure, and Databricks for the new setup, to design and construct highly scalable data pipelines customized for specific business use cases.
  • Enforce Software Development Best Practices: Ensure the adherence to software development best practices, including robust monitoring and effective debugging techniques.
  • Collaborate with BI Developers: Work closely with the BI developers to continually enhance our data processes and develop innovative data solutions that drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with other business units: At Glitnor, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. As a Data Engineer, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with various business units across the organization.

Who are you?

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

  • Relevant Experience & Education: Proven experience in a similar role, supported by a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Data Modelling & ETL Expertise: Strong ability to design and build data models that enhance accessibility, proficiency, and quality, along with proficiency in developing ETL data pipelines and coordinating data processes.
  • Real-time Data Processing & Analytics Platform Familiarity: Experience with real-time data processes and knowledge of analytics platforms like Google BigQuery, Azure Databricks, AWS Redshift, or similar technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced SQL skills, familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Scala, and a keen interest in continuous learning.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Strong analytical skills, adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Communication & Attitude: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, combined with a positive, can-do attitude that drives innovation and growth.

Nice-to-have

  • While not mandatory, knowledge or experience in the iGaming industry would be considered advantageous
