Picoworkers.net is an innovative freelancing platform with over 80,000 registered users dedicated to microtasks, connecting businesses with a global workforce ready to perform quick and efficient tasks. We are on a mission to revolutionize the way work gets done by creating a seamless, secure, and rewarding experience for both freelancers and businesses.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced CTO Co-Founder to join us in rebuilding Picoworkers.net from the ground up. We are currently using an off the shelf freelancing platform. As the CTO, you will lead the technical direction of the company, drive the development of our platform, and ensure it scales to meet the needs of our users. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary technologist to take a leading role in shaping a disruptive platform in the freelancing space.

• Technical Leadership: Define and drive the overall technical strategy and vision of Picoworkers.net, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Platform Development: Oversee the development of the platform, including architecture design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Work hands-on when necessary to drive key development milestones.
• Team Management: Build and lead a development team as the company grows, including hiring, mentoring, and managing developers, designers, and other technical staff.
• Technology Stack: Evaluate and select the most suitable technology stack for the platform, balancing flexibility, scalability, and performance. The stack is currently flexible and open to your expertise.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure the platform is secure, reliable, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and other co-founders to align on product development, user experience, and strategic initiatives.
• Product Innovation: Identify opportunities for new features, products, and technology innovations to keep Picoworkers.net competitive in the market.

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
• Strong full-stack development skills with experience in designing and building scalable web applications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex projects on time and within scope.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and scaling startups.
• Deep understanding of modern web technologies, cloud infrastructure, and best practices in software development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical technical decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Experience with security, compliance, and data privacy regulations relevant to digital platforms.
