Introduction:

We are looking for a dedicated IT Desktop Specialist to join our Global HQ in Dubai.

Relocation assistance will be provided to the successful candidate.


This role involves providing local and remote desktop support, managing IT operations, and ensuring optimal IT service delivery for our stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, proactive, and capable of delivering top-notch support, including to VIP users. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required to effectively interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Desktop Support: Provide local IT desktop services in the Dubai office, including employee onboarding/offboarding, all-hands meeting/event support, and remote IT support for other similar time zones.
  • System Maintenance: Manage and troubleshoot the local office IT systems, including Lark Rooms, projectors, and Audio/Video Systems, ensuring all are secure and operational.
  • Network Optimization: Ensure and optimize the office network, maintaining server room facilities, including servers, firewalls, switches, and APs.
  • Global IT Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate with global IT teams regarding IT policy implementation, system establishment, and updates as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee local IT vendor management, including project monitoring for office renovations and expansions, and manage monthly preventative maintenance.
  • Procurement & Inventory: Handle procurement of local IT hardware and accessories, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and collaborate with the global finance team for stock-taking tasks.
  • Helpdesk Management: Achieve IT helpdesk targets and collaborate with the global IT team to resolve issues and incidents promptly and professionally.
  • Ambassadorial Role: Act as an ambassador for the IT team, ensuring high communication standards, professionalism, and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks and IT duties as assigned by the IT team leader.


Requirements:

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Mandarin to effectively interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in IT operations and Level 1/Level 2 end-user support, with a strong understanding of MacBook OS and Google Workspace.
  • VIP Support: Proven experience in supporting VIP users, with a customer-focused and outgoing approach.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to manage and maintain IT systems, including servers, firewalls, and audio/video equipment.
  • Problem Solving: Strong ability to solve problems independently and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
