Software Development Manager (Cloud & DevOps)

Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office.

Base Salary - up to $215,000

Bonus - 10%

Our client, a global leader in industrial software solutions are looking for a Technical Software Development manager to join the team and manage a team of 15 Cloud Operations Developers.

You will be given the opportunity to come in and get to know the business before being given managerial responsibilities.

This role will be very hands on, with approximately an 80/20 split between hands-on work and managerial tasks such as Code Reviews, 1-2-1's, Recruiting new team members, reporting, scope planning etc.

The successful Software Development Manager must have the following:

• Strong, demonstrable experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience in Cloud Development and Cloud Services Architecture with Azure and/or AWS.
• You need to enjoy wearing many hats, from hands-on coding, to operational support, to managing your team.
• Experience in leading geographically distributed teams.
• 5+ years in a managerial/ technical leadership position, with experience in mentoring, code reviews, 1-2-1's, interviews etc.
• Experienced in Project Planning.
• Knowledge of Containerization tools, i.e. Kubernetes.
• Examples of when you have helped guide and influence stakeholders relating to software development projects.

It would be brilliant if you have any combination of the following on top:

• Experience with Angular, Node.JS or Python. All 3 would be great.
• A deep understanding of Scrum practices, Lean Agile, test-driven development and extreme programming.
