QA (Software Tester) in NEW ZEALAND

As QA (Software Tester) at Poliigon you will have the important job of pinpointing issues in our website and 3D software applications, you'll then ensure our engineers have enough information to recreate and fix those issues before they make it into the hands of our users.


We're a small company working fully remotely in many timezones and you'll be the only QA, so you must be self-motivated, well organized, and capable of learning on your own by exploring software, reading through requirements, documentation and maybe even code.


Responsibilities

  • Test website frontend, software and APIs to identify and report bugs to engineers
  • Create & use test cases/plans to ensure efficient and thorough testing
  • Provide clear steps to recreate using text and screen recordings for any identified issues
  • Prioritise bugs based on their user and business impact so engineers can work efficiently
  • Coach engineers in improving their testing processes


Must have

  • Several years experience in software testing for subscription or e-commerce applications
  • Experience testing card/wallet payments
  • Experience testing APIs with Postman
  • Experience with JIRA for bug tracking
  • Some experience in development (any language)
  • An interest in 3D/experience with 3D software such as Blender
  • Excellent English, written and spoken


Nice to have

  • Experience in automation testing
  • Knowledge of Javascript/Python/SQL
  • Proof of applications you've developed

  • $10-18 USD/hr, paid twice a month
  • $1,000 USD/yr allowance for laptop/pc and your home office
