About The Team
The Application Development Team is responsible for creating the applications running on the reMarkable paper tablet, mobile apps and desktop clients. You will work in a dynamic and cross-functional team reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
As our new Software Engineer, you will have a key role in delivering an exceptional user experience of our applications. Collaborating with designers, copywriters, QA engineers, backend developers, and fellow application developers, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and developing the user interface across our reMarkable device, desktop, and mobile platforms. Here are examples of responsibilities to take on:
- Creating tangible user interfaces with impactful visuals
- Have ownership of significant portions of our UI code, using QML and modern C++
- Collaborate with the development team to maintain and improve our existing code base
- Actively participate in the planning and shaping of new and exciting product features, bringing innovative ideas and a user-centric approach
- Work closely with our talented UX design team to develop software that meets the needs of our users and provides an excellent user experience

Likely success factors for this role
- Experience as a UI Developer or a similar role using the tools above
- Experience with Qt or other UI frameworks such as Flutter, React etc.
