Overview:
Are you a senior security professional with outstanding communication skills who enjoys hands-on technical work? Our financial services client are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their global Security team. The role involves spearheading security projects, collaborating with global tech teams, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have gravitas, a strong technical background, experience in security tools, and a proactive, innovative mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and oversee security projects from planning to implementation across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Offer comprehensive security support and solutions at all organizational levels.
- Partner with global technology teams to design and implement security solutions aligned with business needs.
- Lead the response to and management of complex security incidents and threats.
- Continuously review and strengthen security frameworks and procedures to counter new risks.
- Mentor team members and promote a security-focused culture
Qualifications:
- 4-10+ years of experience in IT security with relevant education
- Proficiency in automation, programming, and scripting
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, cloud, infrastructure and security practices
- Excellent communication skills and full fluency in English
- Passion for continuous learning and a hands-on approach

- This role is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and it requires relocation.
- In the first six months of employment, hires are required to be present 5 days/week in the office. After 6 months, working hybrid is possible.
- This role is only open to professionals who are currently based in Europe.
