This is a hybrid role based in our new Dallas infrastructure hub where we work on the latest technologies in a cutting-edge environment.


The Role

The Platform Orchestration team operates within the Platform User Experience function and is on a mission to create a world-class user experience across our core technology platform.


This platform is used by our engineering and research teams and we continually engage with them to fully understand their experience and explore opportunities for improvement.


As a Software Engineer in our Platform User Experience function, you will explore, learn, recommend and adopt technologies depending on the problem at hand. You will adopt a user-centric approach to all design and decision-making processes, and have the ability to work with a high level of trust, autonomy, and agility.


Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with front-end development using HTML, JavaScript, React, TypeScript and Angular
  • The ability to continuously analyze and enhance the user experience by identifying and addressing usability issues, performance bottlenecks and responsiveness challenges
  • Experience working with source code management and dependency management tools, such as GitHub and Artifactory
  • Experience working with CI/CD Pipelines such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
  • The ability to be productive in an environment with a high level of autonomy and agility
  • A strong desire to continually learn new technologies, approaches and systems
  • Willingness to learn by working with users across different business areas, experiences and cultures to drive towards the best outcome for the organization


The following skills and experiences are beneficial, but not essential:

  • Familiarity with one or more high level languages, such as C#, Python, Go or Java
  • Experience (or familiarity with) developing developer portals using Backstage or similar
  • Familiarity (or willingness to learn) working with Kubernetes and containers
