What are we looking for?
Skills Required
Tertiary qualifications in fields such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related field.
7+ years as an IT Operations/Infrastructure Manager in a Global Managed Service Provider/ IT&T System Integrator environment or similar organization managing a team of highly skilled engineers.
4+ years of IT experience working with servers, networks, security, and other backend infrastructure
2+ years of experience administering network monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, N-Able, BMC Portal/Patrol, SCOM)
2+ years of experience administering RMM (Remote Management & Monitoring) software (e.g., N-Central, N-Able, Kaseya, ConnectWise)
Strong knowledge of commercial backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Shadow Protect, Datto, Symantec, HP Simplicity)
Industry experiences working within the ITIL framework.
Excellent scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, WMI, VB etc).
Proven ability to create and document business processes and workflows in a clear and understandable manner

What will you do?
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the IT Operations team, overseeing the Network Operations Center (NOC) and Infrastructure Services Center (ISC) Level 2 teams. This role ensures the team delivers high-quality IT services, meets customer satisfaction standards, and maintains operational excellence. The Manager will drive process improvements, automation, and staff development to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Leadership And Management
Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing IT Operations team.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Set clear goals, KPIs, and OKRs to measure team performance.
Ensure staff are satisfied, motivated, and productive.
Manage staff leave and ensure adequate coverage during all operational hours.
Develop and maintain employee backup plans to support customers.
Service Delivery And Operations
Ensure the delivery of all contracted IT services to customers, including internal teams.
Manage and resolve incidents, requests, and problems within the team, adhering to SLAs.
Oversee the documentation and maintenance of IT systems.
Ensure high availability of IT Operations management platforms and minimize outages.
Develop and implement processes and procedures as needed.
Conduct regular team meetings.
Technical Leadership And Innovation
Identify opportunities for automation and scripting to improve efficiency.
Evaluate and select tasks that can be delegated from ISC Level 3 to IT Ops.
Provide recommendations and roadmaps to internal stakeholders.
Support other internal service delivery teams as required.
Reporting And Communication
Provide weekly reports on team performance and other relevant items to management.
Serve as a point of contact for customers using IT Operations management tools and reporting.
Manage ticket ownership and service deliverables.
NOC And ISC Level 2 Oversight
Oversee the NOC team responsible for 24x7 alert response, after-hours support, and infrastructure ticket resolution.
Manage the ISC Level 2 team responsible for systems, networks, backup, and automation.
