Senior Game Security Engineer in EUROPEAN UNION

Dealing with cheaters and ensuring a secure and fair environment in the online gaming sphere is a constant challenge, we are looking for an experienced Game Security Engineer to add to the Fair Play Task Force of Hunt: Showdown that will contribute to the research, technical implementation and monitoring of unfair activities, vulnerability discovery and game exploitation.


Introduction


The ideal candidate will be working on:

Client - research and development of additional features to prevent and actively detect unfair practices, as well as implementing additional in-house and third-party services to improve its security state.

Server - Blocking game exploitation and implementing additional security services, ensuring the game server data is secure and uncompromised integrity; developing additional in-house security components to improve the entire ecosystem for correct detection and prevention, including performing vulnerability assessments on our infrastructure.


Candidate will join the Fair Play Task Force team, working closely with the various Hunt: Showdown game development teams and involved in several steps from design to release of every initiative.

Responsibilities


  • Vulnerability assessments of the game ecosystem.
  • Research and implementation of additional security measures on top of the game ecosystem.
  • Ensure client & server logic are secure, validated, and safe from exploitation followed by technical reports and documentation for the production and game security teams.
  • Self-manage programming tasks and report to key stakeholders for coordination with the inner production teams.
  • Own and maintain the documentation surrounding the research and implementation of the tasks the candidate is involved in.


Requirements


  • Solid C/C++ skills
  • Extended knowledge of the game development process
  • Autonomy and problem-solving attitude
  • Dynamic and static analysis (Reverse Engineering)
  • Fair understanding of memory manipulation and Windows Internals
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant role
  • Solid English skills and excellent communication


Pluses


  • Knowledge of obfuscation and LLVM practices
  • CryEngine experience
  • Direct experience with cheat development
