Experienced SEO Content Writer in SOUTH AFRICA

We are looking to expand our content team by recruiting an experienced SEO content writer who is passionate about creating high-quality content optimised for search engines.

You will be writing for the bathroom industry and related topics, giving you days filled with variety and opportunities to learn and grow continuously.

You will focus on writing new copy and optimising existing copy. There is also scope to get involved with proofreading/editing content.

This remote position is based in South Africa, working for a company headquartered in the United Kingdom. We are not offering relocation opportunities or visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Writing user-friendly content that has been optimised for SEO
• Keyword research
• Meta description and title tag writing
• Product descriptions
• Content planning

Requirements

• Exceptional writing skills
• Ability to follow briefs to the letter
• Strong attention to detail
• 2 years experience in a similar role
• A passion for digital marketing and search engine optimisation
• A strong understanding of SEO and searcher intent
• Keyword research experience
• Experience posting content on WordPress
• Strong and reliable wifi connection
• Ability to work to a tight deadline

Advantageous

• Degree in marketing or writing
• Knowledge of bathroom products
• Experience using SEO software such as Ahrefs & Surfer SEO
• Experience using Magento

Logistics

• Fully remote role - based anywhere in South Africa
• Salary: Depending on experience, ZAR r70 - r105 per hour
• Permanent 20 to 40 hours per week (we are flexible, offering part or full-time employment)
• 3 month probation period
• You will work alongside copywriters and copy-editor and report to the SEO Content Manager
