The Role
As part of our digital transformation, we are seeking a skilled
Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to join our team. You will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and securing our cloud infrastructure, primarily within Microsoft Azure. Your efforts will help protect the security and integrity of the data we hold for nearly 11,000 employees and the 6,000 people we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage both business-as-usual (BAU) tasks and infrastructure projects to ensure systems are secure, optimized, and adhere to architectural principles.
- Provide high-quality, responsive IT incident resolution and proactive system improvements.
- Support and maintain server infrastructure, identifying and resolving potential issues to enhance customer experience.
- Oversee the infrastructure support queue, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests within SLA targets.
- Collaborate with vendors to drive incident resolution and participate in regular service reviews.
- Implement and document disaster recovery requirements, and assist with testing.
- Ensure compliance with change management processes.
Essential Skills And Experience
- 4-5 years of proven experience in building cloud solutions in an infrastructure capacity.
- Demonstrable knowledge of building solutions migrating from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience solely building infrastructure solutions, with the ability to discuss your methodologies and approaches.
- Proven experience or certification in Azure Essentials and Microsoft Azure Stack.
Technical Skills
- Windows Server management (2008R2 to 2022) and cluster management.
- Experience with operational and application security in M365 (Microsoft 365).
- Knowledge of Exchange 2016 On-Prem, Active Directory, Mimecast, PowerShell, VMWare, and backup technologies.
Qualifications
- Certification in Azure Infrastructure.
- ITIL V3+ Foundation certification.
- BSc in relevant subjects such as Computer Science, Computer Systems/Networks, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.
