Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical scoping of collaborations with companies and public administrations to translate requirements into technical specifications.
Provide expert advice and technical support to AI Factory users on model selection, fine-tuning, RAG, and deployment on MareNostrum 5.
Design and develop pilots and proofs of concept based on LLMs, including conversational assistants and information extraction tools.
Deploy and serve models using efficient inference stacks and benchmark quality, latency, and cost.
Plan and implement the evaluation of models and applications, focusing on performance in Catalan and Spanish and safety guardrails.
Assess regulatory and ethical aspects of AI solutions in accordance with the EU AI Act and GDPR.
Write technical deliverables, reports, and documentation in English, Spanish, or Catalan.
Mentor junior engineers and students and coordinate small technical teams.
Contribute to the preparation of competitive funding proposals for European, national, and regional calls.
