You’ll lead technical security reviews, vendor risk assessments, and compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.) while collaborating cross-functionally. This role requires 7+ years of hands-on experience in risk/compliance, with a focus on SaaS security and automation in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment.

Lead security reviews, vendor risk assessments, and compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP 20x) for a pioneering AI-driven cybersecurity startup
Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Engineering, and Customer teams to ensure alignment on security posture and regulatory expectations
Opportunity to grow into leadership as the GRC function matures, with no initial people-management responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Support customer and prospect security reviews by completing technical security questionnaires, risk assessments, and due-diligence requests
Assess and manage third-party vendor security risk, including SaaS providers and service partners, while ensuring compliance with frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001
Investigate and resolve compliance alerts using Vanta, track remediation of identified risks, and maintain risk registers, policies, and supporting evidence
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Engineering, Legal, Sales, Customer) to communicate security posture and ensure regulatory compliance
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate risk and compliance processes as the company scales
