Jisc is seeking a Lead Security Capability Architect to build and lead a function dedicated to researching and developing new security capabilities for its Security Operations Centre (SOC). The role oversees the full development lifecycle of security tools, integrations, automations and services, working closely with SOC and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) teams to translate operational needs into effective solutions. The ideal candidate has deep security operations experience, strong scripting and development skills, and threat intelligence knowledge, with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation.

Job Description
Lead security capability architect
Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience) + comprehensive benefits package
Jisc grade: TCY4 (internal use only)
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Reports into: Head of security intelligence and capability
Working style: Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office. We have hubs located in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford.
