Key Responsibilities
Maintain and evolve the metrics tree, ensuring accurate definitions and dashboard implementations.
Validate metrics, write clear specifications for Data Engineering, and own a single locked definition for each metric.
Decompose the north‑star metric into actionable components for individual teams.
Run ad‑hoc investigations into metric fluctuations and work directly with functional leads.
Identify conversion bottlenecks, perform segmentation analysis, and validate product hypotheses.
Conduct data mining to uncover non‑obvious patterns and growth opportunities.
Prioritize problems jointly with product teams based on impact to the north‑star metric.
Design A/B tests, calculate sample size, MDE, duration, and randomization splits.
Verify split correctness, perform sanity checks, and report results with guardrail metrics.
Define data‑tracking requirements, maintain the test archive, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Proactively surface data‑quality issues before decisions are made.
