This position is offered on a Full-time continuing basis. Ideally based at our Bebegu Yumba campus in Townsville or the Cairns Nguma-bada campus.
WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
The Principal Applications Security Engineer manages and supports JCU's enterprise applications by providing expert applications security guidance. Establishing optimal security protocols to safeguard software and technology platforms university wide. Mitigating compliance-related applications security risks by ensuring latest software development adheres to source code control requirements. Stay proactive in maintaining knowledge of James Cook University’s network, emerging security and network technologies, and their associated vulnerabilities. Collaborate with the software engineering team to integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
