We provide Data Science solutions for internal customers inside Deutsche Telekom and our skills and solutions are continually in high demand. We are looking for somebody who can work independently, create working solutions quickly, and creatively come up with new ideas, but also knows how to use and where to look for existing solutions. Our project members are also situated in Germany, Slovakia or Romania so video conferencing is the daily standard.

Which challenges you can expect:
- You will be responsible for creating both backend and frontend applications for our machine learning solutions; for data-driven forecasts provided to our financial management
- Our front-end in use is built in JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Close collaboration with our data scientists and engineers
- You will foster the customer experience by stabilizing and improving the existing solution (better visualization, automated validations, enable what if scenario analysis)
- You will be responsible for identification and implementing upcoming, new business requirements
- Cooperate with the business side including your active contribution in customer workshops, meetings, and calls so the ability to explain technical points to business colleagues is a crucial part of this job, as is a consultant’s mindset
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions, code reviews, and pair programming sessions
- You will have the chance to identify possible use cases for automation and data science, innovative ideas are welcome
Your skills:
Must-have experience:
- Fluent in written and spoken English. German is nice to have, but not necessary
- Education in the IT field is beneficial
- Solid experience in software development using Python programming language, preferably in libraries FastAPI, Django, Flask, etc.; including OOP, design patterns, …
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and any frontend library (Preferably React/Next.JS)
- You have an affinity for structure, grasp things fast, and work systematically
- Proactivity inside the team is essential
- Active participation and contribution in extending and sharing your knowledge
- Experience with the development of RESTful APIs
- Postgres or MySQL (or any other relational database)
- Git (or any other VSC possible)
Nice-to-have experience:
- At least one of Flask, FastAPI, and Django frameworks
- Knowledge of TailwindCSS
- React/Next.JS (or any other Front-End framework – Vue, Angular etc.)
- GraphQL, Mongo, or other non-relational database
- At least elementary knowledge of Docker, microservices, Kubernetes, Unix, Redis, or Memcached
- LESS or SASS
- Experience with agile methodology (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
