Application Security Engineer

2. About the Opportunity:

The Application Security Engineer will focus on securing applications and development processes by managing the application security vulnerability program. This role partners with engineering teams to ensure security issues are identified, communicated, and remediated effectively, contributing to the safety and reliability of the product.

3. Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day application security vulnerability triage and remediation
• Operate and expand the bug bounty program, including triage and validation
• Utilize AI and agentic tools to improve security workflow efficiency
• Develop and maintain security automation for vulnerability intake and reporting
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support remediation and security reviews
• Provide risk-based guidance on new features and third-party integrations
• Promote secure coding practices and contribute to security documentation and training

• Administer and tune application security tools throughout the software development lifecycle
• Support identity and access management and related automation

4. Requirements:

• 2-4 years in security engineering, application security, or related roles
• Knowledge of application security assessment methods and remediation steps
• Understanding of secure development practices for web and mobile apps
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling applied to security tasks
• Skills in vulnerability triage, investigation, and communication with engineers
• Familiarity with cloud microservices and related technologies
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to learn new technologies and product lines efficiently
• Education or certifications equivalent to a BS in Computer Science or related fields; security certifications are a plus

Preferred:

• Experience in security automation and workflow tools
• Familiarity with security scanning in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with bug bounty program operations

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The reasonably estimated salary ranges from $90,000 to $130,000, with actual compensation based on candidate skills, qualifications, and experience.
