# Backend Software Engineer
## About the Role
Oneleet is a rapidly growing cybersecurity and compliance platform focused on making cybersecurity and compliance effective, easy, and painless. As a Series A company, Oneleet provides an opportunity to work closely with the founding team and cross-functional engineering groups while helping build a category-defining SaaS platform.
The **Backend Software Engineer** will build and optimize backend services and infrastructure that support Oneleet's cybersecurity platform. This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, working in a fast-moving startup environment, and taking ownership across a modern backend technology stack.
## Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using **Go**.
* Design and optimize **PostgreSQL** schemas and queries for high-volume data.
* Build reliable orchestration and integration layers across internal and third-party systems.
* Develop reliable integrations with third-party APIs and services.
* Implement metrics, distributed tracing, and observability across backend services.
* Apply security best practices throughout backend development and infrastructure.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to improve the overall developer experience.
* Work closely with frontend, full-stack, and broader engineering teams.
* Architect, build, and maintain SaaS platform backends.
* Adapt to shifting priorities and contribute across multiple areas of the engineering stack.
## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience with **Go**.
* 5+ years of experience designing **REST APIs**.
* Experience writing optimized **PostgreSQL queries**.
* Experience building reliable integrations with third-party APIs and services.
* Experience architecting, building, and maintaining **SaaS platform backends**.
* Experience working in a fast-moving startup engineering environment.
* Ability to work pragmatically and build solutions efficiently without unnecessary complexity.
* Strong time-management skills and comfort working with globally distributed clients and teams.
* Ability to operate outside a traditional 9-to-5 mindset without an expectation of working continuously.
* Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to changing priorities.

Compensation may vary based on work location, skills and experience demonstrated during the interview process, and relevant education or training.
The stated range reflects **base salary only** and does not include equity or benefits. Candidates in higher-cost markets may receive offers at or above the top of the posted range, while compensation in other markets is benchmarked to local standards.
