We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer III to join our dynamic IT team at SwissDevJobs.ch. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining complex network infrastructure that supports our global operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network technologies, security, and hardware support, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues efficiently. Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess advanced practical experience with Cisco IOS, including configuring and supporting Cisco routers and switches. Direct experience in implementing and managing firewalls, VPN solutions, and backup applications is essential. A minimum of two years of experience in installing and repairing computer hardware is required, along with Linux system administration skills, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, complemented by strong command-line proficiency. Relevant certifications such as Security+, CASP, or CISSP are highly desirable, along with Linux+ or RHSA, and CCNA or CCNP certifications. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance is also a prerequisite. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include designing, deploying, and supporting complex network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. You will maintain reliable and secure connectivity across the organization by administering networking technologies, system tools, and security controls. Troubleshooting advanced technical issues related to network infrastructure and infrastructure problems will be a key aspect of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will lead innovative initiatives aimed at improving our IT environment, including implementing new technologies and security measures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance network performance and infrastructure resilience will be essential. You will also be responsible for documenting network configurations, maintaining system records, and ensuring compliance with security standards and policies.
