Role: Java Software Engineer

Title: Associate / AVP

Location: Montreal, QC(Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid) – Fulltime

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required

Work type - Fulltime & C2H(6 Months)

Required Experience: 3 - 5 years

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with 3–5 years of experience to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong Java development skills, good problem-solving abilities, and experience working with databases, APIs, and modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable and high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Work with relational databases and develop complex SQL queries.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and version-control systems.

Required Technical Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, and Multithreading.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Proficiency with Git and version-control practices.
• Experience with JUnit/Mockito or other unit-testing frameworks.
• Good understanding of Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
