Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior BI Analyst based in Spain.

This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity for an experienced BI professional supporting data-driven decision-making across a global organization.

You will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that provide clear visibility into business and product performance.

The role combines hands-on analytics with business partnership, translating stakeholder needs into practical and scalable reporting solutions.

You will also contribute to business planning, budgeting, and P&L reporting in collaboration with Finance and other business teams.

A key focus will be improving reporting automation, data quality, and reliability while reducing repetitive manual work.

You will own analytical tasks end to end, from clarifying requirements and investigating issues through to delivering final solutions.

The position offers autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to improve how business decisions are supported by data.

Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Review existing reporting solutions, identify limitations or inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
• Build and automate reporting solutions supporting business planning, budgeting, and P&L activities in collaboration with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Gather, clarify, and document business requirements, translating them into effective analytical and reporting solutions.
• Create dashboards and reports for monitoring key business, operational, and product performance metrics.
• Automate recurring reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability across dashboards and reporting outputs.
• Investigate reporting issues, discrepancies, and data inconsistencies, identifying appropriate solutions.
• Take ownership of assignments from initial business request through analysis, development, delivery, and follow-up.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and the development of business intelligence dashboards and reports.
• Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write and work with complex analytical queries.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable analytical and reporting solutions.
• Experience working directly with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, identify solutions, and present analytical results.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with a structured approach to solving complex problems.
• High level of ownership, proactivity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable taking on ambiguous tasks where there is no predefined solution or detailed set of instructions.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• English proficiency at Pre-Intermediate level or higher.
• Experience with business planning, budgeting, P&L reporting, or financial models is preferred.
• Previous experience working closely with Finance teams is an advantage.
