## About the Role

A fast-growing, remote-only development company specializing in custom, high-traffic WordPress environments is looking for a WordPress Developer to join its small development team. The company builds fully customized solutions for major clients, with a strong focus on testing, design patterns, coding standards, and scalable integrations.

Working in 2-week Scrum sprints, you will contribute to a variety of client projects and take significant ownership of technical solutions. The team values collaboration, technical passion, independent work, and building smart, sustainable products.

## Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain custom WordPress solutions for high-traffic environments.

* Build and customize WordPress plugins and integrations.

* Develop solutions using PHP and WordPress.

* Work on custom integrations and technically challenging development projects.

* Apply unit testing and design patterns to development work.

* Follow established coding standards and development best practices.

* Participate in 2-week Scrum sprints and contribute to sprint planning and related sessions.

* Take ownership of projects and technical solutions.

* Work independently while collaborating closely with the development team.

* Communicate with the team through daily stand-ups and Slack.

* Think through technical challenges and develop smart, sustainable solutions for clients.

## Required Qualifications

* At least 5 years of relevant PHP development experience.

* Knowledge and practical experience working with WordPress.

* Experience developing custom WordPress plugins.

* Familiarity with unit testing.

* Knowledge of Design Patterns.

* Ability to follow coding standards.

* Ability to take responsibility for projects and work independently.
