About The Role

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Principal Systems Security Engineer to join our Systems Security Engineering team at the Rolling Meadows, Illinois location. This full-time, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced sensing technologies and secure mission solutions that protect warfighters and support national defense. The role involves developing and implementing Anti-Tamper and Cybersecurity solutions across hardware and software platforms, supporting secure design, testing, and validation processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with government agencies and international partners to ensure compliance with security policies and export regulations. This position requires a strong technical background in systems security, reverse engineering, and risk management, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics with 5 years of related experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years; or PhD with 1 year
• Minimum of two (2) years of Systems Engineering experience with DoD platforms, sensors, or subsystems such as EO/IR, Embedded Software, Cryptography, Satellite, RF, Radar, or Undersea Sensors
• Experience in Anti-Tamper or Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework, Resiliency, Reverse Engineering, Security Requirements Development, System Security Integration & Testing, and Validation & Verification
• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret clearance, with additional customer-specific clearances as required
  
  

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the full lifecycle of Systems Engineering in Anti-Tamper and/or Cybersecurity, including architecture design, trade studies, requirements formulation, detailed design, testing, and validation
• Support the development and deployment of hardware and software security techniques and countermeasures to protect assets and ensure operational integrity
• Ensure compliance with US Government policies such as JSIG, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DODI 5200.39 through secure system architecture and process reviews
• Conduct security analyses to validate existing requirements and develop additional safeguards to enhance system security
• Collaborate with government and program teams to develop security solutions suitable for international export markets, ensuring adherence to export control regulations
• Utilize reverse engineering and other security techniques to architect and validate effective Anti-Tamper and Cybersecurity measures
• Perform Technical Release Analyses and prepare documentation for licensing and export compliance
• Coordinate security-related technology releases with stakeholders and provide training on release processes
• Manage exportability assessments, ensuring compliance with international standards and security protocols

• Support Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) activities, including pre-test preparations, active participation, and reporting
