Forward Deployed Engineer (Agentic AI, Customer Deployment)

Forward Deployed Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA · On-site Monday through Friday in the Mission District Employment: Full-time · 8–10 openings Compensation: $165,000–$250,000 base salary plus equity We are seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to build and deploy agentic AI solutions with enterprise customers.

You will own deployments from initial scoping through development, integration, and go-live, working directly with customer engineering teams and senior stakeholders. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys writing production code and turning complex customer problems into working solutions. What you’ll do

• Build and deploy multimodal, agentic AI systems in production.
• Scope customer needs, design solutions, write code, integrate systems, and improve results after launch.
• Develop AI agents for claims workflows using prompt engineering, model integrations, and AI-assisted coding tools.

• Integrate the platform with customer environments through APIs and other systems.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for customers and explain technical decisions clearly.
• Partner with applied AI and core platform engineers to improve deployments and document what the team learns.

What you’ll bring

• Two to five years of experience in a technical role using Python, including building and shipping production code.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI.
• Experience working directly with customers or in a product-oriented engineering role.
• Experience in a startup, founding environment, or fast-paced technology company.

Early-stage startup, founding engineer, and prior customer-facing engineering experience are especially valuable. Work location and visa support This role requires working in the San Francisco Mission office five days a week. Candidates must currently reside in the United States. OPT and H-1B transfers are supported.
