Senior App Packaging Specialist (UEM/Intune Modernization)

App Packaging Specialist — Full-time, fully remote (Telework, United States). $94,100 - $150,000 / year, depending on experience.

Dunhill Government Solutions is hiring an App Packaging Specialist to support a federal program modernizing enterprise device and application management. This role sits at the centre of a UEM → Intune modernization effort: you will own application packaging end to end across Windows, iOS and Android, and make sure every app in the catalog is secure, compatible and ready to deploy at scale.

What you will do

• Perform end-to-end application inventory, analysis, packaging and validation using MSIX, Win32, Intune wrapping and mobile app formats.


• Build, test and deploy enterprise applications across Windows, iOS and Android.


• Ensure applications comply with security policy and are ready for deployment through Intune and Mobile Application Management (MAM) configurations.


• Troubleshoot packaging issues and coordinate with application owners.


• Maintain a full application catalog and support migration waves for a secure, stable, predictable deployment experience.


• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team appraisals as appropriate.


• Design, implement and maintain software test automation frameworks; act as a lead to a team of engineers maintaining application software and database packages.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred.

• 6+ years of relevant experience.


• U.S. citizenship is required, and you must be able to pass a federal background investigation for Public Trust access (Tier 2/2R Moderate Background Investigation). Due to federal agency requirements, dual citizens are not eligible.

Other job-specific skills

• Proficiency with MSIX packaging, MSIX modification packages, signing and conversion.


• Expert in Win32/IntuneWin packaging, detection and enforcement rules, dependency modeling and remediation scripts.


• iOS app deployment (IPA, VPP/ABM integration) and Android app deployment (APK/AAB, Managed Google Play).


• Understanding of application behavior under MAM policies and app protection flows.


• Intune app wrapping, LOB app ingestion, app assignment strategies, version control, rollout rings and deployment monitoring.


• Configuring MAM policies, app protection policies, conditional launch requirements, data protection settings and user exception handling.


• Gathering full app inventories, analyzing dependencies, identifying repackaging needs and building a migration readiness matrix.


• Functional, compatibility and performance testing across Windows, iOS and Android, including validation under MDM and MAM enrollment scenarios.

• Hands-on troubleshooting of install failures, certificate and signing issues, dependency gaps and Intune deployment failures; log review (Intune Management Extension, Event Viewer, mobile logs) and root cause analysis.


• Producing packaging guides, change records, deployment plans and rollback procedures.

Preferred

• Experience supporting large-scale MDM/MAM programs.


• Defender for Endpoint app-based mitigations, ASR rules and app hardening patterns.


• CI/CD pipelines for application packaging, signing automation and Intune configuration as code.


• Certificate-based signing, timestamping authorities and enterprise PKI.


• Analytics and reporting (Log Analytics/KQL) for app performance and failure tracking.


• Zero Trust concepts as they relate to application behavior, data leakage controls and policy enforcement.


• Prior experience with BlackBerry UEM app lifecycle and federation patterns to support migration mapping.
