Principal Software Engineer (Python)

$200k plus super

100% remote - Sydney / Brisbane / Canberra / Perth

This is your opportunity to join a US-based tech start-up, developing their AI platform, specialising in Python. The company has been going for 3-4 years and their product is one of a kind. It's a piece of software that genuinely helps improve people's lives.

The role is 100% remote if you're based in Sydney / Brisbane / Canberra / Perth and if you're in Melbourne, then it's 1 day per week in their Melbourne office.

The company is made up of mostly software engineer, and you'll play an integral role mentoring and coaching the team as best you can.

You will have a proven track record of designing and developing scalable, high-performance software solutions and a strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.

In a nutshell, we need:

• Excellent experience in Python, Python frameworks and Python Libraries
• Ideally some eperience with ML and/or geospatial technologies
• Open source frameworks and libraries;
• Experience researching and implementing new algorithms and techniques
• DevOps; CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies
• Develop API’s and design documents
