Senior/Principal DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Platform Automation (GitHub Actions)

Role Description This is a full-time, remote Senior / Principal DevOps – Platform & CI/CD Engineer role with a strong focus on GitHub Actions and large-scale CI/CD migration initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, as well as leading the migration from existing CI/CD systems to modern, standardized workflows. The role involves building and optimizing platform tooling, improving developer productivity, and ensuring reliable, secure delivery processes across multiple services and environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with software development, QA, and security teams to automate builds, tests, deployments, and environment provisioning, while establishing best practices and documentation. This position also includes mentoring other engineers, troubleshooting complex delivery issues, and continuously refining observability and performance of the CI/CD and DevOps platform.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with CI/CD engineering, including deep, hands-on expertise with GitHub Actions and proven success in large-scale CI/CD migration projects.

• Proficiency in core DevOps practices such as infrastructure-as-code, automation, configuration management, and environment provisioning (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar).
• Background in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for building resilient, scalable delivery pipelines.
• Skills in scripting and programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, or similar) to create tooling, integrate systems, and optimize pipeline performance.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability for CI/CD and platform components, using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent solutions.
