About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End (UI/UX) Developer to join our dynamic team supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization initiative. This fully remote role involves developing an AI-powered Patient Health Data Summarization feature within the Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV). The developer will be instrumental in creating intuitive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces that enhance clinician workflows by providing AI-generated insights from clinical documentation and health records. Working within an Agile, multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with product owners, UX designers, clinical experts, and technical teams to deliver high-quality healthcare applications that prioritize transparency, usability, and source traceability of AI-driven clinical information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience developing modern, component-based web applications using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles
• Hands-on experience implementing WCAG and ARIA accessibility standards
• Demonstrated ability to develop complex, data-intensive user interfaces and visualizations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces for healthcare applications
• Create reusable components using modern front-end frameworks and component-based architectures
• Develop data-driven user experiences, visualizations, and workflows that simplify complex clinical information
• Support Clinical Decision Support workflows, including CDS cards, notifications, and actionable insights
• Integrate front-end applications with backend services and clinical data sources, ensuring transparency and traceability of AI-generated summaries
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests to uphold application quality
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and adhere to usability standards
• Collaborate within an Agile environment on sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and releases
• Support additional team tasks to ensure project success and continuous improvement
