Structural Design Engineer for Drone/Helicopter in GREATER TOKYO AREA

We're looking for an experienced candidate to fill an engineering position at aircraft manufacturer. You will be part of an ambitious team developing cutting edge technology for e-VTOL ( electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft) in Japan.


Responsibilities

You will be in charge of the design and testing of a flying car (manned drone). Flying cars combine various components into to the airframe such as power electronics, batteries, electrical components, steering systems and lighting equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for structural design, strength design and examination, verification of the frame of the flying car using CAD. Design, analysis, and verification are done while ensuring meeting the requirements and design data of the concept model and certification requirements. Engineers will be in charge of CAD modeling or evaluation and simulation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace or related field
  • 3+ years experience in structural design of mobility vehicles such as helicopters, drones, aircraft
  • Or 3+ Experience with structure analysis evaluation and/or simulation
  • English: Business level (TOEIC 800 points or equivalent)

Required Skills

  • Proficient in any of the following: Auto-Cad, 3D-CAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, Ansys, Solidworks, Abaqus, Hypermesh, MATLAB, UG NX, etc..
  • Knowledge in composite materials (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics)
  • Nice to have: Customer Negotiation skills, vendor or supplier management, project management, team management, delivery management
