Job Description

Company Description

Cold Turkey Games is a small indie studio building a new 3D first-person co-op combat game in Unity.

The game will be in a similar lane to How To Fish, available on Steam. The concept is simple, it is built around playing with friends, and most of the fun comes from the gameplay and multiplayer experience rather than crazy AAA graphics or a massive amount of content.

We want the studio to stay small, chill, and collaborative. Ideally we are talking on Discord, playing builds together, throwing ideas around, and changing things quickly when something is not fun. A lot of development will basically be someone saying “what if we tried this?”, building it, playing it together, and deciding if it is actually fun. We still take the project seriously and have a real budget behind it.

Role Description

We are looking for a Unity Gameplay Developer to work with us long term.

You would mainly be working in Unity and C# on first-person combat, physics, ragdolls, NPC behavior, multiplayer, interactable objects, progression, bosses, performance, and general game feel.

We do not want someone who just waits for a list of tasks. We want someone who plays the game, notices what feels wrong, suggests ideas, and helps make it better.

Qualifications

• Good Unity and C# experience

• Experience making 3D games

• Good gameplay programming skills

• Comfortable with physics and ragdolls

• Experience with NPC and enemy systems

• Multiplayer experience is a big plus

• Able to prototype quickly and iterate from playtesting

• Comfortable working closely with a small team on Discord

• Personal games, Steam or itch.io releases, game jams, and devlogs are all a plus

• At least some basic English

We care much more about whether you can make something fun than whether you have a fancy resume or worked at a huge studio. If you can show us anything you’ve made that proves you can build smooth first-person 3D gameplay, NPC enemies, and a decent looking environment, there’s a very good chance we’ll want to work with you.

Compensation: 7,000 to 18,800 PLN per month depending on experience
