Role Description
We are seeking a Digital Design & UI/UX Team Lead who will play a crucial role in shaping the design direction of our clients' digital products. This remote position involves leading the design process, from concept to execution, ensuring that all digital platforms we create are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned design leader with a passion for mentoring and guiding a team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
This is a full-time, remote position with flexible working hours, as most of our clients are based in the US, requiring coordination across different time zones.
What You'll Accomplish in This Role:
Design Leadership (70-75%)
- Lead and inspire the design team to create user interfaces and digital experiences that are visually compelling and functionally effective.
- Oversee the design process, ensuring that all digital products align with client goals, brand identity, and best practices in UI/UX design.
- Mentor and coach junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow in their roles and deliver high-quality work.
- Stay at the forefront of design trends and technologies, ensuring that the team’s work reflects the latest in design innovation and best practices.
- Facilitate design reviews and critiques, fostering a collaborative environment where feedback is encouraged and valued.
- Uphold design standards and processes that ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
Client Collaboration (20-25%)
- Work closely with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and requirements, translating these into effective design strategies.
- Present design concepts and ideas to clients, articulating the value and rationale behind design decisions.
- Ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded through thoughtful and strategic design solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that design concepts are accurately translated into the final product.
Key Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years in digital design, with a focus on UI/UX. Significant experience in a leadership role is essential.
Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, and prototyping tools. Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing professional and functional website designs with a focus on user experience and interface design.
Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring design teams, with a track record of delivering high-quality design projects.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and decisions to clients and team members.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex design challenges.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate client meetings and project deadlines across different time zones, particularly US-based clients.
