Content Strategist - In-house Creative team
Location: EST hours - role can be fully remote
Pay: $60-62 / hourly as W2. Full benefits offered.
Duration: Ongoing role
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60-62 / hourly as a W2 employee.
Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in a 401k plan with company match.
Candidates must work an EST based schedule.
This Content Strategist will split time supporting two teams.
The Strategist will support Product Owners, helping them to tell the story of a product(s). A story that's repeatable and client focused that resonates with an audience. The Strategist will help to build a framework for how to talk about and explain the product.
The Strategist will also support a Performance Marketing team with support for various projects.
Ideally Content Strategists will have samples / strategic case studies they can share and discuss during an interview.
Keys for this candidate:
- A demonstrated focus on and mastery of storytelling and content strategy
- Strong, demonstrated writing skills, especially when it comes to translating complex or specialized information into user-friendly content
- Communications strategy experience, especially when it comes to creating, maintaining and executing content plans
- Case studies or content strategy work product examples
- Internal corporate communications experience
Our Strategist will:
- Develop a clear, consistent communication voice for Performance Marketing to ensure the business and its employees are aligned on our accomplishments, hurdles, and goals.
- Maintain a communications calendar for key strategic areas of Performance Marketing. Calendar to include due dates for activities such as: content intake, draft review, final approval and launch.
- Create and deliver communications, such as email newsletters, on a monthly/bi-monthly basis to Performance Marketing and/or Growth employees in support of top business' initiatives.
- Assist with additional, ad hoc communication asks for special projects as needed
- Reach out to predetermined POCs to gather content for recurring communications.
- Collaborate with POCs throughout drafting, proofing and final approval of communications.
- Manage Performance Marketing content for the quarterly Growth Newsletter - includes gathering content from leadership, editing and formatting within provided layout, and gaining leadership approval.
- Along with Designers, develop executive level PowerPoint communications in collaboration with key stakeholders
Role Summary/Purpose:

This role is responsible for overseeing and executing content strategy by translating project objectives into memorable, client-focused stories that drive home key selling points and benefits. The role will work closely with the VP, Creative Strategy and internal business partners to draw out key ideas, then craft strategies to help our internal agency develop compelling creative for a variety of channels, including web, email, banners, social and print.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for producing engaging and relevant stories, by connecting the dots between strategy, data, media, creative, and development.
- Oversees and delivers content strategy for key clients and lines of business as assigned.
- Adapts concepts and content to all channels, keeping in mind all deliverables when creating a content strategy and implementation plan and keeping all messaging consistent.
- Helps identify creative angles and hooks that resonate with our target audiences.
- Works to ensure creative output is aligned with both business and audience needs.
- Functions as an extension of assigned internal client teams and serves as a link between their team and the internal agency.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years’ experience in creative business or agency.
- 4+ years of experience in content marketing with a focus on strategy.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading/supporting social media and digital advertising platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with product marketing and/or development.

- Working knowledge of design, brand development and overall creative process.
