About The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Front-End (UI/UX) Developer to join our dynamic, fully remote team supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. This role involves developing an AI-powered Patient Health Data Summarization feature within the Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV), integrated through a Clinical Decision Support (CDS) widget designed to provide clinicians with AI-generated insights from clinical documentation and health records. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end technologies. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including product owners, UX designers, clinical experts, and technical engineers, to create seamless healthcare applications that integrate into clinician workflows and support clinical decision-making. The role requires a strong understanding of healthcare data, accessibility standards, and the ability to translate complex clinical information into intuitive visual experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience developing modern, component-based web applications using React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks
• Strong knowledge of responsive web design principles
• Demonstrated experience implementing accessibility standards such as WCAG and ARIA
• Experience creating complex, data-intensive user interfaces and visualizations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces for healthcare applications, including reusable components and visualizations
• Create data-driven workflows and visualizations that simplify complex clinical information, supporting clinician decision-making
• Implement user interfaces supporting Clinical Decision Support workflows, such as CDS cards, notifications, and patient-context-aware insights
• Integrate front-end applications with backend services and clinical data sources, ensuring transparency and traceability of AI-generated summaries
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application quality
• Participate in code reviews, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and adhere to usability and quality standards
• Collaborate within an Agile environment on sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and deployment activities
• Contribute to technical documentation, design specifications, and release materials
• Support additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet project objectives
