Senior Designer (Creative Generalist)

About us
500 Stories is a small design studio working with top tech companies (Replit, HubSpot, Seismic and others). We design product storyboards and launch videos, ads, keynotes and decks, illustrations and UI. Our clients move fast and expect the best work they have ever seen. So do we.
The role
We are looking for a senior designer who can own a project end to end: take a rough brief, figure out the concept, design it and deliver it, without needing someone to hold your hand. One week it is a storyboard for a product launch video, the next it is a UA ad set, a keynote for a CEO or a set of illustrations for a landing page. You should be excited by that range, not scared of it.
What you will do
- Turn briefs and product features into storyboards and visual concepts for launch and ad videos
- Design ads and social creatives (static and motion-ready) in multiple formats
- Design presentations and keynotes for big stages
- Create illustrations and visual systems that fit each client's brand
- Design UI screens and product mockups for videos, ads and marketing
- Work directly with clients, present your ideas and defend your decisions
- Ship fast, iterate on feedback, keep the quality bar high

What we are looking for
- 5+ years in design, with a portfolio that shows real range: motion/storyboards, ads, decks, illustration, UI
- Strong typography, layout and visual storytelling skills
- Fluent in Figma; comfortable with Adobe tools; After Effects or Rive is a big plus
- Experience with tech or SaaS brands and product-led work
- Independent: you can run a project alone from concept to final files
- Fast, organised and honest about deadlines
- English good enough to talk to US clients (written and on calls)
