Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer/IT based in United States.

This is a senior-level engineering opportunity focused on building and operating the internal platforms that enable a high-growth technology organization to move efficiently.

You’ll work across software engineering, platform infrastructure, developer tooling, and corporate technology, with substantial ownership over the systems you build.

The role combines hands-on development with Kubernetes operations, Linux systems, automation, CI/CD, and internal technology support.

You’ll primarily use Go and Rust while creating reproducible environments with Nix/NixOS and operating modern infrastructure on Kubernetes.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll work in small, highly autonomous teams where initiative, sound judgment, and end-to-end ownership are highly valued.

You’ll have the opportunity to solve ambiguous technical challenges, improve engineering productivity, and establish reliable, secure, and maintainable systems.

This is a fully remote U.S. position with occasional travel and a strong emphasis on technical excellence, collaboration, and meaningful ownership.

  • Independently investigate unfamiliar or ambiguous technical problems and carry solutions through to completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and business stakeholders to remove technical blockers and deliver complete outcomes.
  • Build systems that are secure, reliable, well-tested, documented, maintainable, and operationally sustainable.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction as the organization and its systems evolve.

  • Practical experience developing systems, services, or tooling with Rust.
  • Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience, including deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and management of containerized workloads.
  • Experience with Nix and/or NixOS for reproducible development environments, system configuration, or package management.
  • Strong Linux and systems-engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience designing and maintaining production-quality internal tools, platform services, or infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of networking, APIs, authentication, distributed systems, and related infrastructure concepts.
  • Ability to investigate unfamiliar systems, make sound technical decisions, and resolve ambiguous problems without waiting for detailed direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, autonomous, and remote working environment.
  • Experience in areas such as platform engineering, developer experience, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, SSO, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, endpoint management, networking, VPNs, observability, secrets management, security engineering, GitOps, SaaS administration, or zero-trust architecture is a plus.
