Job Overview:

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Python Developer to join the Global Risk Analysis Technology team in our New York office. The ideal candidate will have strong Python and SQL skills, experience with ETL pipelines, and a passion for building data quality solutions in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL flows and Python data quality rules based on business requirements
• Maintain schema and content of operational data stores and data warehouse on DB2 and Sybase databases
• Respond to support queries and system or data alerts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other STEM fields
• 5–7 years of professional development experience, preferably in an environment focused on distributing data via microservices or APIs in Python
• Strong knowledge of SQL — any relational database, especially DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, or Snowflake
• Strong knowledge of Python — must have
• Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture / RESTful services
• Experience with Panda Data Frame and FastAPI — must have
• Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
• Strong communication skills — ability to clearly document user requirements in Jira epics/stories and translate into technical designs
• Java work experience — added advantage (nice to have)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry and knowledge of the investment management business
