Job Description

Almost every client Tiger Tracks has ever signed came to us through a referral. That has taken us to #123 on the Inc. 5000. It will not take us to our 2027 targets.

We are hiring the first person to own marketing for Tiger Tracks itself.

ABOUT TIGER TRACKS

Tiger Tracks is a fully remote performance marketing agency founded by former Google marketing leaders and ranked #123 on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

We run paid media, SEO and GEO, creative, CRO and measurement programs for private-equity-backed, venture-backed and publicly traded brands across Google, Meta, TikTok and emerging channels. Our clients include portfolio companies of funds like KKR and Blackstone, and category leaders in cable and telecom, DTC, hospitality, healthcare and financial services. We are a team of senior operators built around account leadership and measurable results, not headcount.

We want Tiger Tracks to be the agency that Tier-1 buyers already know, already read and already trust before they ever take a meeting with us. That is this job.

THE ROLE

You will be the first dedicated owner of marketing for Tiger Tracks. Not client marketing. Ours.

You will build, from close to zero, the inbound engine that turns us from a referral-driven shop into a brand-driven one. You report directly to the CEO. You work shoulder to shoulder with our VP of Partnerships and Growth and her business development team. And you are measured on one number above everything else: qualified Tier-1 and Tier-2 opportunities handed to that team every quarter.

We are looking for someone who has already built this engine at an agency our buyers respect. If you personally architected the content, thought leadership, LinkedIn and organic search programs that became a growth agency's primary source of inbound pipeline, we want to talk to you.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU APPLY

We would rather tell you now than surprise you later.

One. You start as a team of one, and you will not be managed week to week. There is no marketing team today and the budget in the first two quarters is modest. You will write, build, ship and measure yourself first, then earn the first hire and the first real dollar of spend by showing results. You will have access to our delivery teams for paid media, SEO, creative and analytics, but they serve clients first. You report to a CEO who will back you, unblock you and hold you to the number, and who is not going to run your week for you. If you need a manager who does, this is the wrong seat and we would rather you know that today.

Two. Organic before paid. We currently spend nothing on paid for ourselves, and our new website is missing conversion tracking. The right sequence is to fix the foundation, earn the organic presence, then turn on paid. This seat owns paid when that time comes, so you need to be strong at it. You will not be judged on it in your first quarter.

Three. Your work gets used by the business, not just by marketing. The frameworks, research and points of view you produce will be shared with our delivery teams and put in front of clients as Tiger Tracks thought leadership. This is an in-house role, not a client-facing one. Your ideas will be client-facing even if you are not.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Tier-1 demand generation, which is your primary number. Set and hit quarterly targets for qualified Tier-1 and Tier-2 inbound opportunities, defined against our revenue tiering model. Own the marketing-sourced pipeline number alongside the VP of Partnerships and Growth. Report weekly on lead volume, quality, source, conversion to discovery call and conversion to closed revenue.

Content and thought leadership. Build the editorial engine that makes Tiger Tracks the most credible performance marketing voice in the categories we want to win. Own the calendar across long-form articles, LinkedIn, founder and executive content, proprietary research and benchmark reports, video and podcasts. Ghost-write or produce with the CEO and senior account leadership where their voice is the asset. Write it yourself when the words matter, and use AI to draft, research and scale with your judgment first.

SEO, GEO and AI visibility. Own our strategy for the queries Tier-1 marketing buyers actually run, including answers surfaced by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Build the assets that earn citations and position zero. Turn our AI visibility framework into something both our website and our clients benefit from. Be honest with us about where search is real leverage and where it is vanity.

Website, conversion and lifecycle. Own tigertracks.ai end to end as a conversion asset, not a brochure: tracking, technical performance, content management, landing pages, gated assets, and the nurture and re-engagement sequences that turn warm interest into a discovery call.

Paid acquisition. When the foundation is ready, run Tiger Tracks' own paid program on LinkedIn, Meta, Google and emerging channels, and build the measurement that proves marketing-sourced ROI. Yes, the marketer at the performance marketing agency needs to be excellent at this.

Events, partnerships and PR. Build the event strategy for where Tier-1 buyers gather. Activate referral and ecosystem partners in coordination with the business development team. Land us in the trade press and on the stages that matter.

Team and budget. Earn and then build the team beneath you as the function scales: content, growth and paid, design, contractors. Own the marketing budget and defend every dollar with attribution.

YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS

Days 1 to 30. Audit and fix the foundation. Conversion tracking and pixels live on the new site. Technical performance out of the red. Content management consolidated. Tiering and lead definitions agreed with the growth team. Baseline dashboard in place.

Days 31 to 60. Ship the first content and LinkedIn cadence. Publish the first proprietary point of view. Rebuild the pages that matter most for organic and AI visibility.

Days 61 to 90. First measurable inbound from marketing-owned channels. A 12-month plan with a paid sequencing recommendation. A case for the first hire or the first spend, backed by numbers.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

Seven or more years in B2B marketing, the majority of it marketing an agency, consultancy or professional services firm to marketing and executive buyers. You have marketed our category before.

A track record you can name and quantify. Pipeline dollars sourced, accounts opened, or a content or search program you started that became a company's primary growth lever.

Personal, hands-on fluency across content, SEO and GEO, website and conversion, and paid acquisition. We do not want a content marketer who outsources paid, or a growth marketer who outsources content.

You write excellently and fast. The words in our content, our website and our LinkedIn will be yours.

You have built from zero before, ideally reporting to an owner or CEO, and you know how to run without a manager who has time to manage.

An AI-native daily workflow. You use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and similar tools as part of your craft, with your own judgment and your own prompts, not as a curiosity.

A sophisticated understanding of how Tier-1 brand and private-equity marketing buyers evaluate agencies, and what content moves them.

Strongly preferred:

Direct experience at Tinuiti, Wpromote, Power Digital, Brainlabs, DEPT, Common Thread Collective, Hawke Media, Rise Interactive, Merkle, Disruptive, Ignite, or a comparable shop.

You have built or led a research or benchmark report program that earned trade press citations in Digiday, Modern Retail, AdExchanger or Ad Age.

You have managed and grown a small team of two to eight people, and documented the playbooks so others could run them.

You are based in NYC or on Eastern time and able to meet clients, partners and press in person.

BENEFITS

Fully remote, always. Company-paid medical, dental and vision. Flexible time off. 12 weeks paid parental leave. A company-sponsored MacBook. Annual company retreat. A performance bonus tied to marketing-sourced qualified opportunities, pipeline and closed revenue, with a documented scorecard agreed in your first 30 days.
