Wood is currently recruiting for a Mobile Digital Solutions Engineer within our Digital Consulting business, to support the introduction and development of digital technology solutions as part of our asset optimisation and integrity management service.
The position is open to applications throughout the UK and can be fully remote or hybrid at any of our UK offices.
The closing date for applications will be Friday the 23 rd August at 12:00 BST.
The Role
The Mobile Digital Solutions Engineer will work with the Technical Lead to develop new and enhance existing mobile developments. This is an exciting opportunity for a Software developer who has existing experience in providing solutions to mobile developments.
We are looking for dynamic, versatile individuals with a desire to lead fast moving projects in a variety of integrity applications across a range of engineering sectors, including but not limited to conventional oil & gas, energy transition and renewable energy markets, petro-chemicals and utilities. Our projects currently include hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable and conventional energies, with a continuous focus on delivery and client satisfaction.

The role will sit within our Intelligent Assets (IA) service line with in Digital Consulting. Within IA supporting global energy transition through decarbonisation and green energies is a key part of our plans and we expect to see significant growth in these sectors, while at the same time meeting commitments to existing hydrocarbon development infrastructure. In addition, Wood supports a wide range of industries to ensure the ongoing integrity of their plant and equipment. Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role are:
- Apply industry best practice in Mobile developments
- Be involved in project planning, expediting and execution
- Understand and be capable of writing reports to a high standard
- Participate in internal workshops and training lectures as required
- Become familiar with Wood’s systems and software

Expected
- Demonstrable experience in mobile development using both Xamarin Forms and MAUI
- Experience of publishing applications through distribution platforms e.g. Google Play Store, App Center
- Previous proven experience of C# coding
- You will have a strong interest and passion for following software engineering best practice
- Have expertise in a range of testing approaches, unit and functional testing, and automating testing as part of a CI/CD pipeline
- Minimum First Class (Hons) Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Demonstrate initiative, tenacity and excellent communication skills
- Possess an ability to learn quickly and be adaptable and flexible to match business requirements
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments
- Must have the right to work in the UK
