Job Description
We are adding a Junior BI Analyst to our team to help with a major project for a logistics provider based in Germany. This client manages a large network of shipments and warehouses, and they currently rely on fragmented data sources that make it difficult to see the full picture of their operations. In this role, you will help us organize that data and build the internal dashboards their managers use to keep deliveries on schedule.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small software agency that builds the tools teams actually use to do their work. We stay away from flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on practical software like admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that most people try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a messy spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to communicate with each other.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward: we provide fixed quotes, perform weekly demos, and hand over everything (code, documentation, and walkthrough videos) when we finish. We are a fully remote team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest industry trends. When something breaks, we are the ones who answer the phone and fix it.
The Role
As a Junior BI Analyst, your primary task is to help us turn raw data into useful information. You will spend time moving data between systems and ensuring that the information we pull from our client's logistics databases is accurate. This is not about creating complex models or chasing high-level abstractions: it is about making sure a warehouse manager knows exactly how many pallets are on a floor at any given time.
You will write SQL queries to extract data, help clean up legacy records that contain errors, and assist in connecting different APIs so that information flows smoothly. Because this role is fully remote, you will communicate with the rest of the team through written updates and video calls. You will be responsible for verifying that our reports match the reality of the client's business operations.
What you bring
- A basic understanding of how databases are structured and how to retrieve information from them.
- The ability to write simple SQL queries and a willingness to learn more complex ones.
- Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail (you notice when a row of data looks out of place).
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and the ability to explain your findings clearly to others.
- A preference for practical work that solves immediate problems for users.
- The ability to manage your own time while working from home.
- Curiosity about how logistics and supply chains operate behind the scenes.

Working here is different from working at a large corporation. We do not have layers of middle management or long, unnecessary meetings. We are a small, flat team where everyone is expected to contribute to the final product. You will work directly with senior developers who can provide guidance as you learn the ropes of data analysis in a professional environment.
We value stability and clear communication. Since we are a remote company, we rely on documentation and straightforward talk to keep projects moving. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary for the market and your level of experience. We want the people who work here to have a good balance between their professional and personal lives, so we focus on hitting our deadlines during work hours and logging off when the day is done.
Our goal is to build software that lasts and solves real problems for companies like our German logistics partner. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing the quiet, essential work that keeps a business running smoothly. If you enjoy digging into data and making sense of complicated systems, you will fit in well here.
