Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Penetration Tester at SECNODE. The Penetration Tester will perform security assessments of applications, systems, and networks, including vulnerability identification, exploitation, and reporting. Daily activities include planning and executing penetration tests, collaborating with teams on red teaming exercises, and contributing to AI-assisted testing methodologies. The role involves analyzing and documenting findings in clear reports, recommending remediation steps, and working closely with engineering and security teams to improve overall security posture. The Penetration Tester is expected to stay current with emerging threats, tools, and techniques, and participate in continuous improvement of SECNODE’s security practices.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Application Security and hands-on experience in assessing web, mobile, and API-based applications.
• Experience in Reverse Engineering and Malware Analysis to understand, dissect, and evaluate malicious or unknown binaries.
• Proficiency in Red Teaming and offensive security operations, including simulated attack scenarios and adversary emulation.

• Solid foundation in Cybersecurity principles, including network security, operating system security, and secure coding concepts.
• Familiarity with penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, and similar toolsets).
• Ability to write clear, actionable technical documentation and reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working remotely with distributed teams, demonstrating self-motivation, time management, and effective communication.
