Senior Java Software Engineer in MALTA

My client in the iGaming industry is looking for an ambitious Senior Java Engineer to join their fast-growing company in Malta.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to focus on designing and implementing effective solutions for software delivery and operations by streamlining and automating processes.

🌏 Working schedule: Hybrid - Tallin, Estonia (3 days on / 2 days off)

💰 Salary: Circa €65k gross/year.

As a Senior Java Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with an Agile team to design and implement new features.
• Engaging in code reviews and pair programming to maintain high code quality.
• Adhering to and promoting best engineering practices.
• Mentoring team members to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of projects.
• Embracing a DevOps mindset, including building, testing, deploying, and monitoring new software.
• Identifying opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer.
• 5+ years of experienece with Spring/Springboot and Microservices.
• 5+ years of experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Understand database concepts, NoSQL databases and CI/CD.

Nice to have skills include:

• Experience working with infrastructure As Code using Terraform (or similar).
• DevOps culture - build, test, deliver and monitor new software.
• Automating everything where possible.
