Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Unit 42 is seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Terraform, Linux, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes. This role requires strong experience in control systems, cloud security, version control, and GCP. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of scripting, firewalls, and mitigation strategies, as well as experience with tools such as Git, GitLab, Selenium, and Prometheus. Knowledge of server administration, change management, and continuous integration/delivery is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Automate deployment pipelines and integrate continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Manage and monitor cloud environments, focusing on GCP, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and manage version control systems, including Git and GitLab.
- Enhance cloud security through effective firewall management, mitigation strategies, and authentication protocols.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts for system automation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server administration, networking, and databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis).
- Monitor system metrics using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Logstash.
- Participate in change management processes and ensure compliance with best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Terraform, Linux, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in control systems, cloud security, and version control.
- Hands-on experience with GCP and cloud security best practices.
- Advanced scripting skills, including shell scripting.
- Familiarity with firewall management, DDoS mitigation, and authentication protocols.
- Experience with server administration and maintenance.
- Knowledge of testing tools and continuous integration/delivery processes.
- Proficiency with metrics and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana.
- Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading, Writing).
